The ONLY reason Northern elders boldly announced they’d visit Rochas Okorocha and some shameless Igbo elders to discuss “Biafra agitation & best way to quell it as a matter of urgency
because of the dire consequences” is that they know Igbos DON’T have elders who can boldly & sensibly stand for the truth!
Assuming we have real elders or leader(s) who know their onus, one of them would have told those Northern elders to SHUT-UP and stay home because the NORTH is Nigeria’s MAJOR PROBLEM…. Yes! THE NORTH IS NIGERIA’S MAJOR PROBLEM, and that Northerners have bigger issues to deal with than planning to come and gibber about Biafra/Ndi-Igbo with that pathetic excuse for an “Igbo leader” called Rochas Okorocha; Including his ridiculous ilk !
If the Northern elders are sincerely concerned about the consequences of “The new Biafran cause” championed by the very intelligent & fearless Nnamdi Kanu, and not what they’d lose if Nigeria breaks up, they should first visit Buhari and urge him to release the freedom fighter who has committed no crime! When he is released, anyone can then ask for dialogue or whatever they wish.
Prior to being President, If this same hypocrite called Buhari can boldly stand for Northern savages and tell the World that “war against Boko Haram is war against the North”, then the so-called Igbo elders that prefer to keep mute over Nnamdi Kanu’s unlawful detention should hide their heads in shame.
Other geo-political zones understand the ethno-religious politics being played by the North and how best to deal with them; But not our so-called Igbo political leaders and timorous elders that play only “politics of the stomach” .
“IGBO ENWEGHI EZE” is no myth. It is literally what it is and unarguable fact.
I pray the next generation of “Igbo elders & leaders” will be different from the pathetic bunch we have now!
